Vacuum lifter training - One day programme The RTITB accredited GGR-UNIC vacuum lifter programme has been running for over seven years and remains the only accredited training programme for this equipment in Europe. To ensure it remains relevant, it is constantly reviewed and updated to take into account changes in legislation, standards and new equipment. While the programme is aimed primarily at operators it provides valuable information for employers, management/principal contractors and health and safety advisors. The programme has been carefully developed in association with leading members of the construction industry to maximise on-site safety. Most management and trade contractors now accept the content of this programme as the de facto standard on which to base their own company policies regarding the safe use of vacuum lifters. To date, we have successfully trained over 1,500 people. The one-day course includes:
Proof of successful completion of this programme is now a compulsory requirement for many major management contractors. Likewise, many leading trade contractors will only allow contractors to work on their projects whose personnel have completed the programme. It has been accepted by the MCG (Main Contractors Group) as the only recognised proof of competence with vacuum lifters.
